I Been Around A While

I been around a while

I lived in town a while

I threw it down a while

And the town threw down on me

Page McConnell

As many of you know, I’ve decided to skip town and head for greener pastures...literally.

I’m leaving Los Angeles, and move to Portland, Oregon!! This was a decision a long time in the making, and I couldn’t be happier about this new adventure.

Having spent the better part of my 31 years living in Los Angeles, I’ve fallen in love with hundreds of locations and eateries that have become near and dear to my heart.

Thanks to Mary and her brilliant mind, we’ve decided to make a list of the standouts, and plan to visit them all before I go! And guess what?? We want you to come with us!

Below is a rough draft of the events we have planned. Wether you can make it to one, two, or all of the events, we love for you to come and enjoy this crazy city with us. There will also be a PARTY on January 23rd to say our final good-byes. And if you can’t make it to any of these events, let me know! We’ll hang out!

Since there are bound to be changes in the schedule, and I don’t want to bother you all with endless emails (although, you may get a few, I’m just sayin’), I will updating my blog http://fabmelus.blogspot.com/ with this same information, and information regarding exact times, locations, prices, and any changes that we need to make. If you’re interested in attending one of the events, check the blog beforehand for details!

FYI - We’re trying to do all of this for as little money as possible. I really encourage carpooling and taking the Metro anywhere that is possible! There will be more detailed information on pricing on the blog.

Ok, here we go:

December 20 - Downtown day!

December 22 - Exposition Park / Miracle Mile

December 27- SFValley - Matador Bowl / Village Tandoor (DATE CHANGE)

December 28 - Griffith observatory / Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles

December 30 - Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s (canceled)

January 2 - Hollywood - Movie at Grauman’s Chinese / Lucky Devil’s

January 12 - Disneyland

January 15 - Dumpstaphunk at Roxy / Stinking Rose

January 16 - Getty Villa / Duke’s

January 17 - Venice Beach / Tito’s Tacos

January 23 - Goodbye Party

Please feel free to email me at any point at melissalbrown@ymail.com with any questions!

Hope to see you all soon!!!

love love love
